STRAYS HOME

Pakistan is experiencing an unprecedented rise in the stray dog population with cases of dog bites, animal abuse, and rabies making headlines every other day. Although the exact number is unknown, it is estimated that there are at least 3 million stray dogs in the country. Strays Home Rehab Shelter has worked tirelessly for the past 6 years to help save injured and uncared for animals in Islamabad. Strays home has an average intake of 3 to 4 rescues EACH day and they depend on the support of donations to care for these animals. Unfortunately in a city with such a devastatingly high poverty rate, many people are unable to give to rescue organizations which severely impacts the care that can be provided to animals.
